The main objective of Peptisyntha is to scale up the production of a few therapeutic peptides to eventually large commercial quantities, in accordance with all relevant cGMP and regulatory requirements.   To reach this objective, Peptisyntha maintains a strong pipeline of projects at all stages of development, including projects with a preclinical status.  Accordingly, a specific project undertaken at Peptisyntha usually starts with the synthesis of relatively small quantities (from milligrams to a few grams scale) and thereafter goes through successive scale-up steps.  The scale-up milestones are defined with the customer, taking into account the requirements of process development, the need for clinical batches, the objectives and constraints of validation activities and the guidelines for regulatory submissions.
