The R&D group not only supports the development of new projects based on the existing know how, but also undertakes further fundamental research to refine and expand the scope of our technologies, with a view to improve the cost effectiveness of pharmaceutical peptides production.  

Research activities also aim at developing attractive, cost effective methods to produce several unusual amino acids that are more and more introduced in recently designed peptides.

These developments have led to the filing of several patent applications by the parent company Solvay SA.

Various contracts are regularly signed with academic laboratories and a variety of projects are currently underway.
